For an Applause
For this poem (originally a song) I was inspired by a specific group of people. I asked myself some questions about them and the reasons for their behavior. My theory is embedded in the verses.
Let’s see if you can guess what I’m talking about!
I got a little weakness
Since I was so little
This little weakness had me in its hands
My parents didn’t get it
My teachers couldn’t stop me
I couldn’t stop my self at all
I got confess
It’s a disease
There’s nothing i wouldn’t do
To get an applause
Give my our attention
show me approbation
Set the astonishment in your eyes
Give me your attention
show me approbation
Put your hands together just for me
Give me a sign
Make understand
Don’t let me down
I’m asking for a clap
I need to beat this feeling
that i need to win you over
I wanna take a bit of your love
It’s a dependence, I have no chance
So let me please you in any way
It’s a dependence, I have no chance
Let me have a bit of your love

Hi. I don’t think I have this problem but my wife, a really dedicated teacher, does. Surrounded by a disinterested head teacher, an incompetent deputy and a culture of nepotism which keeps the incompetents in post – and to hell with the pupils. So I really feel for it. Many thanks for the ‘like’ for my first effort at a short story. It means a lot.

Nothing wrong with wanting to feel good by pleasing others. We really need more of that!
